Creating positive partnerships is the key to the success of this project!

Strong ties with the business community to access commercial expertise, fundraising support and donations is essential for the running of a commercially successful venue.

HLPP have been very fortunate so far to gain the generous support of:

• COVERS Building Supplies & Timber Merchants have provided Hilsea Lido with timber, toilet seats, drainage rods and paving slabs.

• The Community Payback Team have worked long and hard to make sure that the site is clean and presentable.  They are continuing their support by preparing and painting the ladies toilets, clearing huge areas of overgrown shrubbery and unwanted trees from around the perimeter of the lido and digging out drainage holes and pipes that have been blocked up for years.

• Post diploma students from the school of architecture at Portsmouth University are assisting us by using the site as their project for the 2010 academic year and providing us with their ideas and inspiration on the future of the lido site.

• Warings Construction have been very helpful giving advice and guidance with regard to the structure of the buildings and operation of the pool.

• Coffin Mew, Solicitors and Morris Crocker, Accountants, are assisting HLPP through the Partnership Business Champions programme.

• The Pizza House Restaurant have hosted two highly successful fundraising dinners for Hilsea Lido.

• Wickes DIY have provided HLPP with a variety of end of line paints.

• Portsmouth Web Hosting & Design have been incredibly supportive and helpful by assisting us in creating this website and offering IT advice and assistance.

• Through The Partnership Hilsea Lido Pool for the People has office space at Enterprise House in the centre of Portsmouth and an Development Assistant through the Future Jobs initiative.

To all of these organisations and to the others still to be added we are very, very grateful. Without the support and commitment of the wider community Hilsea Lido would be history. We are now confident that Hilsea Lido has an exciting and innovative future.
